Professional wrestling is always changing and full of new ideas and the likes of Rey Mysterio are well aware of that now. WWE being the global juggernaut of pro wrestling allows the company to do things other companies simply cannot, which is why Mysterio is now pushing for WWE to hold a Premium Live Event in the Las Vegas Sphere.
The Sphere in Las Vegas, which can hold up to 18,600 people, has mostly been used for concerts and a recent UFC event. It also features The Sphere Experience, a film directed by Darren Aronofsky that showcases the venues advanced technology.
While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Rey Mysterio made it clear he is excited about the idea of WWE hosting a big event at The Sphere in Las Vegas. He was amazed by the venue when he attended UFC Noce and immediately imagined how great a WWE show would look there.
Even though the layout is different, he believes WWE can make it work, just like UFC did. Rey really wants to see a Raw, SmackDown, or a Premium Live Event happen in the unique and impressive venue, as it would create an unforgettable experience for fans.
The biggest reason why no wrestling company has held a show at The Sphere is simply due to it being an incredibly expensive affair. Regardless, only time will tell whether WWE will hold a Premium Live Event at The Sphere as fans would love it.
