Earlier this year, there was growing talk of London hosting WrestleMania, especially after Londons Mayor Sadiq Khan showed interest in bringing the event to the UKs capital. In light of this, Nick Aldis has shared his thoughts on why fans will eventually see WrestleMania at Wembley Stadium.
It was previously reported that WWE wasdiscussing having a WrestleMania event take place in London. In fact, even Triple H revealed thereason why WWE is considering London as host for future WrestleMania.
Even John Cena alsobelieves London earned the chance to host WrestleManiaand fans were hoping it would become a reality afterTriple H and Sadiq Khan had a very productive meeting about the sameearlier this year. Nothing is impossible in the world of professional wrestling and fans were convinced this meant WrestleMania taking place in London as well.
While speaking during aninterview with Chris Van Vliet, Nick Aldis made it clear that he believes that one day WrestleMania will be held at Wembley Stadium. He pointed out that the Mayor of London promised during their campaign to try to bring WrestleMania to the stadium.
Aldis noted that the Mayor of London is a very important political figure, second only to the Prime Minister. He found it surprising that someone running for such a big job would focus on getting WrestleMania to London, showing just how important WWE has become globally.
However, Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter previously reported that WrestleMania is no longer the top priority for London, as the NFL has shown interest in hosting the Super Bowl at Wembley Stadium. Nonetheless, well have to see whether WrestleMania will eventually take place at Wembley Stadium somewhere down the line.
