Rob Van Dam knows a thing or two about legendary venues, so it was only fitting that he was in the house when NXT took over the iconic former ECW Arena on November 6, 2024.
While RVD didnt step between the ropes, he had front-row seats to an electrifying main event where Jordynne Grace, Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, Kelani Jordan, and ZARIA took down Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyz, Cora Jade, and Roxanne Perez in a 10-Woman Tag Team Match that had everyone talking.
RVD shared his take on the match and the NXT womens division during his One of a Kind podcast, and its safe to say hes impressed.
The former WWE Champion dropped some real talk about new wrestlers putting themselves out there on TV. If youre not good at punches, dont throw punches. If youre not good at chops, dont throw chops. If youre not good at forearms, dont throw forearms until you become good at it, RVD explained.
RVD stressed that he wasnt calling out the NXT women specifically but offering advice to all up-and-coming wrestlers: A lot of green wrestlers are still doing things that theyre not that good at on TV and overall. Thats something I would put a stop to.
Despite these challenges, RVD couldnt hold back his admiration for NXTs current roster. Im impressed with the standards, the workmanship, the level that everyone is at there, at NXT, in comparison with other wrestling products that are on TV, he concluded.
