Maven may have been the winner of the first season of WWE Tough Enough, but that doesnt mean he is proud of everything from that experience. Everyone had to submit an audition tape, including people who didnt get on the show like MJF, but Maven doesnt have the greatest memory about his own tape.
The former Tough Enough winner recently shared that not all memories from that experience are ones he cherishes. Specifically, Maven revealed he is embarrassed by his audition tape for the competition.
The former Hardcore Champion, who is arguably best known for his victory on Tough Enough alongside Nidia Guenard, reflected on his audition during a conversation with Conrad Thompson on The False Finish. He described the tape as cringeworthy and explained the concept behind it.
Other audition tapes from wrestlers, including MJF, John Silver, and Shane Mercer can be found on YouTube. Those tapes have become a glimpse into how wrestlers present themselves before achieving stardom. Others, like Red Velvet, remember their Tough Enough rejections as well.
While Mavens audition tape might not have been polished, it ultimately led to an opportunity that launched his wrestling career. After that, Maven used that platform as a springboard to do a lot more in WWE, including a famous feud with The Undertaker.
We will have to see what Maven does next. Odds are, hes finished with his days of submitting audition tapes to reality television shows.
