The new season of the DP World Tour begins in Australia, ahead of the calendar year and just three days after the conclusion of the 2024 season in Dubai. In Brisbane, on the Royal Queensland GC course, the BMW Australian PGA Championship is scheduled from 21 to 24 November, a tournament with a long tradition, in which Renato Paratore and Filippo Celli take part.

In the event, organized in collaboration with the PGA of Australia, Min Woo Lee, 26 years old from Perth, defends the title, three successes on the continental circuit (two in combination with the home circuit), one on the Asian Tour and younger brother of Minjee Lee, no. 17 in the women's world ranking. Along with him, his compatriots Cameron Smith (hat-trick in the competition and one of the stars of LIV Golf) and Jason Day, both winners of Majors, will be highly anticipated and will be in trio with Lee in the two opening rounds. And again Marc Leishman, Lucas Herbert and Brett Rumford, all winners on the DP World Tour, David Micheluzzi, Jason Scrivener and John Senden.

Also in the field are the Frenchman Victor Perez, the Englishman Jordan Smith, the German Yannik Paul, the Spanish Rafa Cabrera Bello, the New Zealander Daniel Hillier and the Thai Kiradech Aphibarnrat. To watch are the Iberians Angel Ayora and Joel Moscatel, the Finnish Oliver Lindell and the Englishman Jack Senior who have just climbed onto the European tour through the order of merit of the Challenge Tour.

In the tournament, born in 1929 and now in its 88th edition (match play was played until 1963), in addition to Smith and Lee, two other past winners will step onto the starting tee, Geoff Ogilvy (for him a Major,) and Peter Lonard, three times on the top step of the podium. Record holder for victories is Kel Nagle with six, followed by Bill Dunk with five and Norman Von Nida and Robert Allenby with four. Among the many champions, Severiano Ballesteros and Greg Norman have also signed the roll of honor.
For Paratore and Celli, who will not have many chances to play on the DP World Tour, an opportunity to make the most of. The prize pool is 2,000,000 Australian dollars (about 1,230,000 euros).
