The announcement, first reported by CNN, has drawn attention from both political and wrestling communities. McMahons appointment will require Senate approval, where Republicans hold the majority after the 2024 elections.
Stephanie McMahon logged onto X, and she dropped a very proud message geared toward her mother. She is very proud that her daughters will know what their grandmother was such an influential figure in politics.
Linda McMahon has prior experience in government and politics. She served as the head of the Small Business Administration during Trumps first term, leaving the position in 2019. Following her resignation, she led the pro-Trump America First Action super PAC, continuing her work within Republican political efforts.
It was recently confirmed that Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon are separated. While Vince deals with his ongoing legal issues, Linda McMahon is going to dive into politics once again with the Donald Trump administration.
We will have to see what the future holds, but Linda McMahon has certainly been able to find herself a niche in politics. Only time will tell if she ever makes another WWE appearance, but she will forever be linked to the company.
