AEW fans are in for a high-flying showdown as Konosuke Takeshita will defend his AEW International Championship against Ricochet at AEW Full Gear. Tony Khan made the blockbuster announcement official on Thursday night, hyping the bout as one the fans have been clamoring for.
The rivalry between Takeshita and Ricochet has been heating up for weeks. Takeshita captured the AEW International Title at AEW WrestleDream in a triple-threat match against Will Ospreay and Ricochet. But Ricochet reignited the feud after pinning Takeshita during a tag team match on the November 6 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Khan took to Twitter to confirm the match, writing, With the rivalry running red hot for weeks on @AEWonTV, the International Title will be at stake in the fight that the AEW fans want to see: Takeshita vs Ricochet THIS SATURDAY!
This title clash is set to take place on Saturday, November 23, at AEW Full Gear in Newark, NJ. With Takeshitas dominance as champion and Ricochets undeniable momentum, this bout promises to deliver the kind of edge-of-your-seat action AEW is known for.
