Linda McMahon was tapped by Donald Trump to be in his cabinet for his next administration as the Secretary of Education. While there were some people who were really happy about this, like Stephanie McMahon who sent out a glowing message for her mother, others are not so thrilled to see a McMahon getting this kind of power in the political world.
Janel Grants representatives reached out to Ringside News, criticizing Linda McMahons nomination. Grant famously sued Vince McMahon for trafficking and sexual abuse.
The email from Janel Grants legal team referenced controversies tied to WWE, including a recent lawsuit involving the 1980s ring boy scandal. There were four primary points listed in the email that we received.
The email highlighted similarities between Linda McMahons nomination and Matt Gaetzs withdrawal from consideration for U.S. attorney general. Gaetzs withdrawal followed allegations of misconduct that were determined to be a distraction to the Donald Trump presidential transition into the White House.
Janel Grants representatives brought to light allegations against the McMahons over the years, specifically ones that Linda was involved in. After all, five anonymous plaintiffs, who alleged that the McMahons turned a blind eye to sexual abuse of underage employees in the 1980s, just filed a lawsuit against Linda and Vince over the infamous ring boy scandal. It was alleged in the email that the McMahons facilitated an environment that wasnt safe for children.
Another claim involves Vince McMahons ongoing federal investigation into allegations of sexual assault and human trafficking. As we previously noted, Janel Grant alleges she was a victim of sexual abuse and trafficking at the hands of McMahon.
The email also alleges that WWE leadership ignored Janel Grants mistreatment. It was stated that Linda McMahons former company was part of facilitating turning a blind eye, and also covering up the situation.
Vince McMahon allegedly made $14.6 million in hush payments to four women over the last 16 years. These payments were allegedly made to suppress allegations of misconduct on McMahon. At this point, federal officials are involved. McMahons home has also been raided by authorities, with the expectation that the Feds would find more dirt on the former Chairman of the Board.
Linda McMahons political background includes leading the Small Business Administration during Trumps first term and significant financial contributions to his 2024 campaign. While her career as co-founder of WWE brought her into the public eye, the controversies surrounding WWE continue to follow her into her political ventures. It should be noted that it was also recently confirmed that Linda McMahon and Vince McMahon are separated.
We will have to see how this transpires in the months to come. At this point, Linda McMahons nomination is facing a fair amount of scrutiny.
