Tom Pestock, better known to WWE fans as Baron Corbin, is proving hes more than just a pro wrestler.
The former WWE star stepped onto the mat at the IBJJF Tampa International Open 2024 on November 23rd, competing in the Master 2 Ultra Heavy divisionand he walked away with a silver medal after a hard-fought tournament.
Pestock, who has been diving deep into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since his WWE departure on November 1st, had an impressive run, defeating Fi La in the quarterfinals and Bradley Curtis in the semifinals. However, he fell just short in the finals, losing on points to Franck Alphonse.
Despite the loss, Pestock took to Twitter to share his determination, writing, 2nd place unfortunately at IBJJF Tampa. Lost on points in the finals. Ive got open next to try and get gold!
Fans of Pestock will remember his triumph at the Jiu Jitsu World League in December 2023, where he took home the gold. Training at Rudos BJJ in Florida, Pestock has been dedicated to perfecting his craft, showing the world that his skills extend far beyond the squared circle.
