WWE legend Paul Wight, who has been a prominent figure in AEW for several years, made a triumphant return at the 2024 AEW Full Gear event after an extended absence from television.

Appearing during the AEW Full Gear: Ground Zero pre-show, the Worlds Largest Athlete walked down the entrance ramp alongside young internet sensation The Rizzler, who took on the role of timekeeper. Wight joined the commentary team for the match between Big Boom A.J. and QT Marshall, marking his return to AEW programming.

Since signing with AEW in 2021, Wight has contributed as a commentator for AEW Dark: Elevation and participated in a handful of matches. His last in-ring appearance for AEW occurred on the November 15, 2023, episode of Dynamite, where he teamed with Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega to defeat The Don Callis Family.

During his hiatus, Wight shared his concerns with AEW President Tony Khan, emphasizing the importance of not using his star power on television despite his significant contract that offered a lot of money. Now that he has reappeared on AEW programming, fans are eager to see how his role will evolve as he continues this chapter of his career.
