Ruben Amorim arrived at Portman Road with one aim in mind - to prove he is in fact the right man to restore Manchester United's glory.
The Premier League offered some tasty fixtures during the first weekend after the November international break, but all eyes were firmly on Sunday evening's clash in Suffolk.
It took less than two minutes for the Red Devils to find the back of the net, inviting a wave of affection for both Amorim and once-starboy Marcus Rashford.
Towards the end of the first half Bruno Fernandes and Sam Morsy were brought together in the centre of the pitch to have a word with referee Anthony Taylor. The cloud of confusion was soon dispersed when it became clear that a fire alarm at Stockley Park had affected VAR.
The game continued with no VAR for several minutes, leaving every decision up to Taylor.
Thankfully, no controversial decisions were needed as play continued smoothly. However, Omari Hutchinson shook Portman Road ahead of the break, curling a beautiful effort over Noussair Mazraoui and into the corner of the net.
Amorim held his head in his hands as the cameras panned to show the Red Devils' boss reaction, while the Tractor Boys rejoiced with their equaliser.
