For the past few months, fans have been eagerly waiting to see if AEW will introduce a new show called AEW: Shockwave on FOX. While rumors persist, it appears much progress hasnt been made on the project so far.
During a Q&A podcast on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the current status of AEW: Shockwave and whether there had been any progress. Sapp shared that he hasnt heard of anything happening soon but confirmed that discussions about Shockwave are still ongoing, as he said, I havent heard of anything imminent as of yet, but they are still talking about Shockwave with people, and ROH.
While AEW recently filed a trademark for AEW: Shockwave, and Swerve Strickland even hinted at AEW possibly having a presence on FOX, theres no guarantee that the show will actually debut anytime soon.
With no significant movement as such, AEW: Shockwaves future remains uncertain at this moment. Only time will tell whether AEW will manage to secure a deal for the show on FOX, as the company is trying to ensure they have enough content for fans heading into 2025.
