Liv Morgan might have defeated Becky Lynch to win the Womens World Championship at King and Queen of the Ring and even retained the title in Lynchs last WWE match to date, but shes not afraid to give credit where its due.
Speaking to Inside the Ropes, Morgan dropped her in-ring persona to praise The Mans influence on womens wrestling, calling her a guaranteed Hall of Famer.
I think if Becky never comes back, I definitely think she is 100% a Hall of Famer, Morgan admitted. She has become a martyr for womens wrestling and performance all around. She can do it all. She can deliver in the ring, she can deliver on the microphone. The crowd is compelled by her when shes out there, not to mention what she stands for in womens wrestling.
Morgan also highlighted Lynchs role in evolving womens wrestling and putting it on equal footing with the mens division. Her goal, I think, was to really evolve it and maximize womens wrestling and really make womens wrestling feel just as special and important as the mens wrestling, and she did it all while being a fantastic brand-new mummy, she said, referring to Lynchs ability to balance her career with motherhood.
Of course, Morgan couldnt resist slipping in a playful jab to remind everyone shes still the champ. But with all that, shes still not as great as me, she added with a laugh.
Morgans rare out-of-character moment shows the deep respect she has for Lynch, despite their fierce rivalry in the ring. With Lynch stepping away from WWE for now, Morgans comments offer a glimpse of the impact The Man has had on her peers and the industry.
