This past week in Malaga, the world No. 1 continued his outstanding 2024 as he went 3-3 in his singles match to lead Italy to successfully defending their Davis Cup title.
Previously, Sinner won eight titles on the ATP Tour this season, including his first Grand Slam victories at the Australian Open and the US Open, as well as the ATP Finals. En route to doing so, the Italian tennis star posted a stunning 73-6 record in 2024.
However, the massive success hasn't changed the 23-year-old a bit, according to his Davis Cup colleague Berrettini.
I think he proved thats hes the best player in the world and as you can see, hes the most humble guy on the planet... Obviously, the tennis is impressive but I think the way he manages everything off court and his relationship with people is what makes him special and why we have two of these now back in Italy," the 2021 Wimbledon runner-up said of Sinner.

Sinner assesses his year
After Berrettini defeated Botic van de Zandschulp in the opening rubber of the Italy and Netherlands final, the world No. 1 also delivered against Tallon Griekspoor to 7-6 (2) 6-2 to complete Italy's victory.
Later, the Italian tennis star said he was "proud" of the "amazing year" he was able to put up.
It has been an amazing year. Im very proud of the whole team. There is a lot of work behind it and Im very happy to hold this trophy again. It was a very difficult day today, because anything can happen," Sinner said.
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old will now take some time to rest before kicking off his preparation for the 2025 season and his Australian Open title defense.
