Jannik Sinner has closed an incredible season, in which he won two Slams, three ATP Masters 1000, two ATP 500 titles and the ATP Finals. For a total of 73 victories in 79 matches. An impressive average for the young Italian, who is breaking a series of impressive records. The last of which he shares with Roger Federer.

Jannik is the only player together with the Swiss Maestro with at least one set won in all the matches played in the season. Roger achieved this record in 2005, playing 85 matches, 6 more than the current ATP No.1.
At the end of an exceptional season, Sinner was the protagonist of the victory in the Davis Cup. The ATP No.1 made a fundamental contribution, winning all his singles matches, against Sebastian Baez, Alex De Minaur and Tallon Griekspoor, plus the doubles match with Mateo Berrettini, beating the Argentine duo of Gonzalez and Molteni.
"It was a very nice 2024, there were still some things I could have done better during the year but there were many important results and emotions. I also lived a year with many difficulties, I'm super happy and then we'll see how next year goes. I repeat myself but I think it's right to underline how these are successes that are not so obvious and easy to obtain.

It means a lot for all of us to win the Davis Cup. I came here because I wanted to participate and defend this title, and we succeeded. The whole team gave more than 100%, it's a victory that was not at all obvious. We are happy to be in this position again, of course it's a great feeling to end the season with such joy by winning the Davis Cup," said the young Italian after the triumph in Malaga.
We recall Jannik lost only 6 matches in 2024, three of which against his rival Carlos Alcaraz (in three matches played). The Italian, however, had to deal with the Clostebol doping issue: the 2-time Slam winner was found positive last March during tests carried out at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. An independent tribunal commissioned by ITIA acquitted the Italian. After the matter became public in August, WADA appealed to CAS against the independent tribunal's acquittal ruling, asking for 1-2 years of disqualification for Sinner. The final ruling should arrive in early 2025.
