AEW star Darby Allin is known for his fearless, high-energy performances, but when it comes to watching wrestling, he keeps it low-key. In a recent interview with Wrestle Radio Australia, Allin shared why he limits his wrestling intake, despite living and breathing the sport as part of his career.
Im only pretty much focused on what Im doing, Allin explained. I respect all outlets of wrestling, but I kind of only watch AEW. I dont really watch anything else because I like to keep my wrestling intake very, very small. Its already my life, and I dont want to ever get burnt out on it.
Instead of spending his free time catching up on other promotions or scouting new talent, Darby prefers to unwind with his other passion: skateboarding. When Im not wrestling, Im just watching skateboarding or doing something along those lines, he added.
This mindset gives Allin a fresh perspective, allowing him to stay fully invested in his own storylines and performances while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While some wrestlers might spend hours studying their peers, Darbys approach underscores his focus and individuality in the ring.
AEWs Grand Slam: Australia on February 15, 2025, will give fans another chance to see Allin bring his unique style to the ring. Though hes made it clear hes gunning for one of the Death Riders, his commitment to staying focused on his craft might just be the edge he needs to steal the show.
