WWE let go of several people over the past couple of years, and some of those names surprised fans. Matt Camps release from the company turned some heads, and many fans wondered how long it would be until he showed up for AEW, and now we know.
Ahead of the 2024 Continental Classic tournament, AEW announced a special show, Inside the Continental Classic, hosted by former WWE personality Matt Camp. The show will premiere on AEWs social media platforms on November 26 at 7 PM.
AEW is set to begin the 2024 Continental Classic tournament on the November 27 episode of AEW Dynamite. The tournament will feature a two-block round-robin format as they have in previous years, and the full brackets have already been revealed.
Matt Camp was known for hosting WWEs The Bump, and he was a fan favorite. He was with The Bump since the beginning, seeing the show through all incarnations, which made his release that much more surprising. Camp will provide insights and previews for the Continental Classic, so you know hes been keeping up with AEW.
This opportunity will mark Matt Camps first hosting gig for AEW, but only time will tell how many more outings he gets. He very well could see himself as a big part of the companys commentary and media team as he continues.
The November 27 episode of AEW Dynamite will feature big matches for this years tournament. Ricochet faces Claudio Castagnoli, and Darby Allin will collide with Brody King in the Gold League. Meanwhile, in the Blue League, Mark Briscoe will compete against Shelton Benjamin of the Hurt Syndicate. We will have to see how the 2024 Continental Classic pans out, but Matt Camp will certainly provide his commentary.
