Originally slated for the massive Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, the February 15, 2025 show is moving to a more intimate location due to low ticket sales. WrestleRadio Australia confirmed the new venue: the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, which boasts a capacity of 13,500a significant shift from Suncorp Stadiums 52,000-seat setup.
Ticketholders dont need to worry about the switch. According to a message from Ticketek, updated tickets will be sent directly to the Ticketek App within two weeks. The original stadium tickets wont be valid, so fans are advised to check their apps for updates.
While some fans may feel let down by the venue change, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre offers a cozier atmosphere that could create an electric experience for AEWs Australian debut. The company now has a chance to turn the narrative around and focus on delivering a lineup that packs the house.
AEW initially planned for a massive statement Down Under, much like WWEs successful Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event earlier this year. However, the reality of ticket sales prompted the adjustment. Now, all eyes are on AEW to see how they capitalize on this reset.
