Roman Reigns and CM Punk arent really close friends, which is why it was a big surprise when Punk was announced as the 5th member of the original Bloodline for Survivor Series. Fans were curious about Roman Reigns reaction to Punk joining his team and he has now finally addressed the same.
While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Roman Reigns addressed CM Punk joining his team for WarGames. Reigns stated that he feels lucky and thankful to share the ring with family and some faces like CM Punk, Sami Zayn, and Paul Heyman. He then described Punks addition as surprising, comparing it to someone showing up at an event unexpectedly and wondering how they got there.
Reigns and Punk have a history from 2013-2014 when Reigns was part of The Shield. The two faced off several times before Punk left WWE in early 2014. This happened long before Reigns became a major singles star, making their team-up in 2024 a big deal for fans as both are the top acts in the company right now.
Roman Reigns and CM Punk are also set to have a one-on-one confrontation during the November 29th edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Fans are curious to see whether The OTC and Second City Saint will be able to co-exist during the Survivor Series Premium Live Event this week, as there is a lot at stake in the match.
