The Wintrust Arena has played host to many big AEW events, and the November 27 episode of AEW Dynamite was no different. The Continental Classic is going strong, and this weeks episode saw contests from both Leagues in the round-robin tournament.
In a Continental Classic Gold League match, Ricochet took on Claudio Castagnoli. This was a big match for both competitors, as neither of them wanted to give up a loss this early in the tournament.
These two fought all over the ring, and at ringside. In the end, Claudio nailed a very stiff lariat and he pulled off the win. This gives Claudio the first win in the Gold League with 3 points.
This match took over the Dynamite broadcast at the beginning of the second hour. It was also the first Gold League match of the night, after Mark Briscoe lost his match to Shelton Benjamin in the first match of the Blue League.
Ricochet is looking to make a big name for himself in AEW after his WWE exit, as he is still getting adjusted to life in Tony Khans company. On the other hand, Claudio was representing the Death Riders, and Jon Moxleys brutal stable pulls no punches.
