The close bond between Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa came its demise recently and Mina had a lot ot get off her chest. During the November 27 edition of AEW Dynamite, Mina Shirakawa sat down with Renee Paquette for an exclusive interview to reflect on the events of AEW Full Gear, where Mariah put an end to their long-time friendship.
Mina Shirakawa clearly stated that she had foreseen the betrayal from her former best friend the day Mariah May turned on her former mentor, Toni Storm. She accused Mariah May for being a selfish person and vowed to introduce her to The real Mina.
However, right at that moment, Mariah May emerged to launch a sneak attack on Shirakawa, being successful this time, unlike Full Gear. Standing tall over a fallen Mina, Mariah May proclaimed, I want Mina. This was followed by a huge announcement that Mariah May would defend her AEW Womens World title against Mina Shirakawa at the upcoming pay-per-view, AEW Winter is Coming.
Mina Shirakawa and Mariah May were the closest of friends for years. That all came to its conclusion this past week at AEW Full Gear. During the celebration segment with the duo, a crucial moment saw Mariah May attempting to launch a sneak attack on Mina, much like she did to Timeless Toni Storm. However, Mina Shirakawa managed to evade her assault and speared the AEW Womens World Champion off the stage and straight onto a table, which resulted in a dangerous spot.
But with Mariah Mays recent actions on Dynamite, it will be interesting to see this highly personal feud unfold as the title match between two close allies-turned-rivals is set to go down at AEWs next big stage.
