WWE Hall of Famer Jake The Snake Robertss career in WWE was nothing short of iconic, as he was known for his innovative promos and unbeatable charisma. However, Roberts never won a single championship in WWE and he has now made it clear that doesnt really bother him.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Jake Roberts was asked whether it bothered him that he never won a title in WWE, especially the World Title. Roberts made it clear he was not bothered by that whatsoever. He explained that he was already carrying a heavy snake, weighing 50 to 75 pounds, while traveling for weeks at a time. Adding a 10-pound championship belt to that load wasnt something he wanted.
Roberts admitted it would have been nice to hold a championship, but he was happy with the titles he had won in other places. Even though he never held the WWF Championship, he won belts in places like Calgary, Louisiana, Mid-South, Texas, and the Mid-Atlantic region and that was enough for him.
Jake Roberts also mentioned that having a championship could have brought more money, but he couldnt complain about the great career he had in the world of professional wrestling.
Jake Roberts had two stints in WWE, which spanned from 1986 to 1992 and then his second run from 1996 and 1997, with his second run ending abruptly as frustrations led to his WWE exit. Regardless, the WWE Hall of Famer is clearly not bothered by not winning any gold in the company and fans appreciate him for his honesty.
