The November 29 episode of WWE SmackDown brought a big pre-taped show for Black Friday. That being said, Roman Reigns and CM Punks presence on the broadcast was kept a secret until the show aired on the USA Network.
During this weeks episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns and CM Punk had a bit of a meeting to make sure they are on the same page. Reigns has a lot more at stake, as this match will be a big moment for the Bloodline sage, and Punk was just added by the Wise Man during the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown.
During the intense meeting at a table, where Paul Heyman sat between CM Punk and Roman Reigns, The Second City Savior told Reigns that his return wasnt about him but about Paul Heyman. Roman dismissed the idea, saying he doesnt need help. Punk responded by insisting that Paul Heyman does need his help, and thats why hes there.
Paul Heyman then stepped in to address the situation. He warned Roman that without Punks help, they have no chance against Solo Sikoa. The Wise Man said that its over if Punk doesnt help, especially if Solo can put an end to Roman Reigns at WarGames, and then all five members of the new Bloodline will go after the OTC. Divided, we all fall to Solo, united, at best, we survive, Heyman said. Then, Punk said that he doesnt care if Roman doesnt like his attitude.
Heyman told Punk that if they dont take down Solo, he will come after Punk next. Heyman also added that Solo sees Punk as a threat, which adds an interesting element to things as we go toward Survivor Series on November 30. Roman Reigns then agreed to one time and Punk replied, one time, one favor.
The WWE Hall of Famer then emphasized the need for unity within the OG Bloodline team. He explained that divided, they would both fall against the new Bloodline. However, together, they could survive against this threat at WarGames. We will have to see which way things turn out this Saturday.
Roman Reigns asked if Punk owes him a favor, but the Second City Savior said that Reigns doesnt owe him a favor. Heyman will owe Punk a favor. When Reigns asked Heyman what the favor Punk wanted was, Paul suggested that they get through WarGames first.
Very few fans could have guessed that Paul Heymans return to WWE television would be followed by CM Punks addition to the WarGames match at Survivor Series 2024. Then CM Punk and Roman Reins were set to have a meeting this week on SmackDown.
CM Punk previously stated that his first face-to-face with Roman Reigns would be momentous. It didnt take long for Roman to comment on the Second City Saviors WarGames addition. They obviously needed to set any differences aside for WarGames, so we will have to see how things pan out on November 30.
