Tensions flared on wrestling Twitter today as TNA announcer Taz found himself in a heated exchange with a fan over tonights packed wrestling lineup. While hyping AEWs programming, the iconic voice didnt hold back when confronted by a fan proclaiming WWE Survivor Series as the superior choice.
Taz initially took to Twitter to remind fans of AEWs big night, writing, Just a reminder, #AEWCollision TODAY 4pm ET & #AEWRampage at 6pm ET TONIGHT! @tntdrama. However, things quickly took a turn when a fan responded dismissively, saying, Wdgaf were watching survivors series.
Never one to back down, Taz fired back with a quote tweet, delivering a thoughtful yet pointed rebuttal: Wow, so you speak for EVERY wrestling fan out in this HUGE world were So Sam, people consume content differently Also some people like vanilla, some people like chocolate, also some people like vanilla & chocolate! There is no were. Everyone enjoy WRESTLING there is plenty available today/tonight!
Tazs response not only shut down the fans attempt to pit AEW against WWE but also highlighted the importance of celebrating all forms of wrestling entertainment. The timing is especially relevant with WWE Survivor Series taking place tonight at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, promising massive WarGames matches alongside title showdowns.
