According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Selects Q&A podcast, Cages direction shifted following the chaotic post-match angles at AEW Full Gear, where he was thrust into the AEW World Title picture.
Yeah, its been put on hold for right now because Christian is going towardsat least he was planned on going for a feud with the top title, Sapp explained, shedding light on the decision to pivot Cages storyline.
