The Undertaker always prided his ability to stay in character no matter what as he was truly the toughest nut to crack inside the squared circle. In fact, The Deadman has now claimed that Vince McMahon had a vendetta to make him break character no matter what.
While speaking on theSix Feet Under podcast, Teddy Long shared a story about Vince McMahon telling him to get The Undertaker to dance before a show. The Undertaker was already in the ring, and Teddy was getting ready to go out when Vince called him back and told him to make The Undertaker dance.
Teddy Long didnt say anything, but when he got to The Undertaker, he quickly told him not to hit him as it was Vince McMahons idea for The Deadman to dance. The Undertaker looked at Long and made it clear he was not going to dance at all.
The Undertaker then claimed that Vince McMahon had a personal vendetta to try and get him to break character. According to The Undertaker, Vince McMahon seemed determined to find ways to mess with him, either to crack him or embarrass him.
The Phenom felt like it was strange that a billionaire would spend his time trying to break the talent. It became clear that this was Vinces goal, including moments like the spinaroonie, all part of his effort to get The Undertaker to break character. Rather than focusing on other matters, Taker noted that McMahon seemed fixated on this instead of telling people to avoid breaking character.
The Undertaker also criticized pro wrestlers who break character on social media, as he knows the value of keeping kayfabe alive. Nonetheless, The Undertaker ultimately never cracked no matter how much Vince McMahon tried and that remains something The Undertaker is still proud of no matter what.
