Every goal achieved opens a new door to the future, there is very little time to stop. A couple of weeks, no more. Then I start again. Matteo Manassero has just closed 2024 - an intense season, full of satisfactions - which marked his return to victory on the DP World Tour after 11 years and above all brought him back among the greats of golf. When he was a kid he was considered the next wonder, everything came easy to him, then things got tangled. His story is well known, the fall to the Alps Tour, the rise through the Challenge. There is no point in repeating what could have been and wasnt. The only certainty is that at 31, thanks to the results on the DP World, he has earned the right to play on the PGA, the most important and richest circuit. It is one of those turning points that change a career, perhaps an entire life. In the American tournaments there are more world points up for grabs, more money available. Of course, the competition will be more ruthless, but the best and Matteo is one must be with the best. This year there will also be the Ryder Cup, in New York, in September. Just yesterday it was announced that Matteo will be part of the continental Europe team against Great Britain in the Team Cup, which is a kind of dress rehearsal for the Ryder to build a group from which to choose who to take to New York: It is truly an honor to be part of this team, in Abu Dhabi I will give my best. And Matteo did not get to certain results by chance. In recent years he has built a team that he trusts and to which he owes his rebirth.

"At this moment we are very proud of the result achieved. It's exciting for everyone to have had such a rewarding year because - as I've always said - I put into practice many things that are born thanks to my team. It's obvious that then I'm on the field, but I'm only the terminal of everyone's work".
"I still have to make many decisions, but given how the calendar is structured I think that especially at the beginning and in the central part of the year, let's say until August, I will be more focused on America. After that we will have to see where I am in the rankings and take stock. Maybe there will be the need to continue in America and participate in the autumn tournaments to confirm the card, or I will see if I play more in Europe in the Back 9 Series, the last races of the season. The only certainty is that I will start by playing mainly on the PGA and then we will see along the way. It will be a new and different season also in terms of planning, so I am also curious".

"At the beginning I will go back and forth for a few months and then if in the meantime I have understood where I am more comfortable, where I like to be with my wife since Francesca will often accompany me, then maybe I will consider the hypothesis. I don't want to do anything definitive from day one, I prefer to take one step at a time. I know that going back and forth for many months will become tiring, but I prefer to start like this rather than taking a step longer than I can chew".
