If Nick Kyrgios were to return to playing with the same arrogance with which he expresses himself on social media, then his opponents will have cause for concern. The Australian has in fact put Andy Roddick in the crosshairs of his criticism now.

Having become a keyboard warrior, the Australian tennis player is among the most active players on social media. In recent months we have witnessed his attacks on Jannik Sinner, provoked several times by the 29-year-old for the Clostebol case that involved him for a good part of the year. Nick also lashed out against the number 2 of the WTA ranking Iga Swiatek, who has also run into a doping case that has been much talked about in recent days.
Now, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist has lashed out at the former American legend.
The former world number 13 has republished a post from a user who insinuated that Roddick had used some magic cream during his career, because otherwise his fierce defense of Sinner or Swiatek would not be understood.
The Australian's response was prompt, accompanying the user's words with an unmistakable laugh followed by the words most likely. A further attack against one of the protagonists of tennis history, who has not yet responded.

The Australian tennis player, out for over a year and a half due to the many injuries that have forced him out, should return at the 2025 edition of the Australian Open.
His harsh criticism of Sinner and Swiatek, however, did not go down well with many. Among them is also the former English tennis player Mark Petchey, who wanted to defend the two Slam champions, launching a dig at the Australian
"Nick is fed up, he must cut it out: Sinner has been found innocent, or am I wrong? In a few weeks the WADA appeal will be examined and we simply have to wait for the process to take its course. It is a very serious matter, which must be treated with kid gloves, with care and with seriousness, because the career of a colleague is at stake," he explained.

The British player, who was also Andy Murray's coach, then expressed his admiration for Nick's tennis skills.
"Theoretically we are talking about one of the best players in the world, a real leader, a showman, a very powerful resource for our sport: when he is well he plays wonderful tennis, but he has often lacked consistency," he added.
