Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has urged the club to reach agreements over contract extensions with star trio Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The three superstars are all approaching the final six months of their respective contracts and there is significant uncertainty surrounding each of Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, all of whom will be free to speak with teams overseas in just a matter of weeks.
Of the three, it's Salah who has put Liverpool under the most pressure with a series of public comments admitting his "disappointment" towards not being offered an extension at this point in the season.
"I think that shows a little bit of who Mo is, his mentality," Mac Allister told ESPN. "When you see him every day, he's a person who works very hard, who is tireless.
"He's the first to arrive and the last to leave. Always prepared for whatever may come. He carries that to the pitch and he always helps us in decisive moments when big players get tougher, he's there. That makes us all glad.
"Obviously we want to share a lot of years with him, but that's a personal decision. The club has to make a decision and we can't get involved. Hopefully they can come to an agreement because we want him and Virgil and Trent to continue with us. Hopefully that will be the case."
Salah has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain recently, although the French side's president recently insisted there was no truth to the speculation.
As for Alexander-Arnold, Real Madrid have made no secret of their interest in landing the right-back's signature, but it was recently reported that they have already ruled out testing their luck with a January bid and will instead wait to try and snap up Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer in the summer.
There appears to be more optimism regarding Van Dijk, although the Dutchman has repeatedly refused to be drawn on his future, even when quizzed on his own potential move to Madrid.
