The Spaniard, already in 2022, has started a truly remarkable career, made up of 4 Slams so far and a ride that has taken him all the way to conquering the number 1 in the men's world ranking and maintained it until the end of 2022, before passing first into the hands of Novak Djokovic and then Jannik Sinner.
The young Spanish player has finished the last three years in the top 3: in 1st place - as mentioned - in 2022, in 2nd place in 2023 and in 3rd place this last season. Furthermore, the 21-year-old is the only one to always finish the last three years in the top 5: no one else has managed to do it, including Novak Djokovic himself. This indicates how much the hierarchies in the world of tennis have changed.

The rankings also demonstrate the clear progress made by Sinner: from 15th place in 2022 (affected by many physical problems), the Italian improved to fourth place in 2023 with an impressive end to the season and to the top in this last year full of satisfactions. Expectations for 2025 are on a duel between Carlitos and Jannik, time will tell if it will actually be like this and who will be able to win.
Below are the final rankings of the three most recent years, which show notable changes and a continuity that so far has only been had by Alcaraz.
