The New Day entertained WWE fans for ten years with their fun and unforgettable moments. However, on the December 2nd episode of Monday Night RAW, the group officially broke up after Big E was kicked out. In light of this turn of events, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingstons internal status has been revealed.
According to PWInsider, after the events of this weeks episode of Monday Night RAW, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have officially been classified as heels on WWEs internal roster, which isnt a big surprise at all considering what they did to Big E.
During The New Days 10-year anniversary segment, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods shocked fans with their harsh treatment of Big E. They criticized him for not supporting them and even made jokes about his neck injury. The emotional moment left fans heartbroken, especially as Big E was rejected by his longtime friends.
WWE has been putting a lot of emphasis on storytelling and The New Day breaking up is the perfect example of how the company now excels at making fans care about their characters, one way or the other.
The Miz was also happy about Big E getting kicked out of The New Day and believes it was the right call for Woods and Kingston. Regardless, well have to see if WWE will be able to capitalize on this shocking heel turn for Woods and Kingston, as the company heads towards a new era in 2025.
