Dennis Rodman has issued an apology to his daughter Trinity Rodman after the comments she made about him on a podcast recently.
Rodman is father to Trinity and her brother Dennis Rodman Jr, from his marriage with Michelle Moyer, but Trinity says he doesnt act like it.
Hes not a dad. Maybe by blood, but nothing else, The Olympic Gold Medallist said of her Dad on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
We had an expedition and we kind of lived in that for a little bit, Trinity said. We tried to live with him but hes having parties 24/7, he is bringing random bitches in. He loves the spotlight. He loves the cameras.
Trinity also opened up about the former Bulls stars struggles with substance abuse and called him an alcoholic.
She also detailed about how Rodman cut off her family financially at one point following his divorce from Moyer, which forced Moyer, Trinity and DJ to live in an SUV for a period.
I think hes an extremely selfish human being, Trinity said. I think everything has always been about him.
The four-time NBA champion took to Instagram to apologize to his daughter.
Taking to his Instagram on Thursday, the four-time NBA champ explained that hes been stopped from trying to see Trinity and he wont stop trying to connect with her.
Sorry I wasnt the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop, Rodman wrote in the caption of a video of photos of pair over the years. I will keep Trying even when youre being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when its difficult and if it takes a long time. Im always here And tell you all the time rather its your voice or voicemail how proud I am. I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me. Hopefully one day I can get that. Im here and Im still trying pick up the phone you have my number, You see me calling, Im still here Dennis RODMAN- Dad.
FYI: I watch you play All the time (actually flew in to watch you play and was told not to show up bc who I was with instead and me just wanting to support you So I watched you from my hotel balcony just to make everybody happy.
