Martinez noted that she went to the red carpet premiere of the movie Immortals, where Batista was there, but not in the movie. After the event, she approached him to share some positive thoughts and they took a picture together and she kept it as a reminder of her healing.
Martinez said she doesnt hold onto bitterness and reflected on her time in wrestling, where she got to play unique characters like a vampire and pirate. She also made it clear that the rumors about her and Batista hooking up are not true, stating that he is not her type and that they never got physical or even kissed.
In 2017, Shelly Martinez made a statement claiming that a backstage altercation with Batista was the reason for her release from WWE. At the time, she was performing on the ECW brand under the name Ariel and she was ultimately released from WWE in 2007.
Regardless, it is certainly good to know that Shelly Martinez and Batista squashed their beef long ago and that they never hooked up in the first place, despite what rumors suggested. Both have moved on with their lives and that is ultimately what fans feel is for the best.
