Mercedes Mone isnt shy about celebrating her success, but her latest Twitter post has sparked a wave of backlash from fans. Following the December 21 episode of AEW Collision, the AEW star tweeted, All Elite Women , a statement that didnt sit well with many in the wrestling community.
The comment section quickly lit up with fans dragging Mone for her remarks. Never that theres a long line of women at NXT that you couldnt hold a candle to, one fan fired back.

This backlash comes on the heels of Mones fiery Instagram Live session, where she defended her career move from WWE to AEW. B****, Im richer than Ive ever f***** been. Putting on the greatest matches that Ive ever had! So shut the f up, Mone said during the live stream.
Despite the criticism, Mone remains one of AEWs most talked-about stars and is gearing up for a high-profile title vs. title match against Mina Shirakawa at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.
