Nick Kyrgios doesn't consider Nicolas Mahut someone who should be having opinions about him since he pretty much thinks that he has achieved way more than the French doubles specialist.

After the Australian warned Jannik Sinner that he would try to make "an absolute riot" if they faced at the Australian Open, the former doubles world No. 1 slammed those comments as "unnecessary."
Also, the five-time Grand Slam champion in men's doubles suggested that even if that happened, the Italian tennis star would probably still routinely beat the home favorite.
Kyrgios: I don't think the world cares too much about Mahut's opinion
"Nicolas Mahut, on a global level, hasn't made inroad like I have so I'll let that be. And I don't think the world necessarily cares too much about what Nicolas has to say," the seven-time ATP champion told Telecom Asia Sport.
"I have people like Mahut telling me to be realistic. He was an amazing doubles player, a Grand Slam champion, no doubt, but he didn't have the singles career I've had. That's probably why he has his opinion. I've achieved way more things playing singles than Mahut could have in his entire career. That belief is what separates players.

"Federer, Nadal, Djokovic - they were the greatest because people were defeated before they even stepped on the court with them. I'll always back my ability and my belief."
In singles, Kyrgios made a Grand Slam singles final at Wimbledon - landed seven titles - reached a career-high ranking of No. 13 - and also clinched at least one win over every Big Three member.
Also, he has had some major success in doubles after winning the 2022 Australian Open title with Thanasi Kokkinakis.
When it comes to his post-surgery comeback goals, Kyrgios has made it clear that he wants to become a Slam champion in singles.
In order to do that, he would probably need to beat Sinner or some other top guys.
