Djokovic reached the semi-final and wished to remain undefeated at the Australian Open after passing the quarter-final stage. However, the Serb met world no. 4 Jannik Sinner in the semi-final and suffered a tough 6-1, 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 loss.

The young gun outplayed the ten-time winner in every segment. Novak played way below his best, as his opponent kept everything under control. Djokovic failed to generate a break point for the first time at completed matches at Majors!

He claimed the third set after saving a match point, but it was not enough to sparkle a turnaround. However, Jannik kept his composure and performed well in the fourth set, sealing the deal in style and reaching his first Major final at 22.
