AEWs Ricochet isnt taking fan antics lightly, and he made that crystal clear on Twitter following the December 25 airing of AEW Dynamite. After enduring yet another round of toilet paper being thrown his way during a match against Darby Allin, Ricochet voiced his frustrations online, calling out one particular fan who shared footage of the incident.
This person should never be permitted to enter an @AEW event again! Ricochet tweeted, leaving no room for interpretation about how he felt.
The incident took place during the Dynamite tapings at the Hammerstein Ballroom, where the crowd once again showered Ricochet with toilet paper as he made his way to the ring. Not one to back down, Ricochet hurled one of the rolls back at the crowd, but the gesture seemed to energize fans even more.
This isnt the first time Ricochet has been on the receiving end of this unusual treatment. Fans targeted him with the same antics during the December 21 episode of AEW Collision, where he faced Will Ospreay in the Continental Classic tournament. While the reaction could be seen as disrespectful, some believe its turning Ricochet into one of AEWs most talked-about heels.
Despite the controversy, Ricochets fiery response online has only added to the drama, leaving fans divided over whether the crowd crossed the line or if Ricochets reaction only fueled the fire.
Do you think Ricochet was justified in calling out the fan on Twitter, or should he have handled it differently? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
