AEW star Ricochet is no stranger to controversy, but this time, the action wasnt in the ringit was on Twitter. After a fiery tweet addressing fair-weather fans, Ricochet found himself on the receiving end of an epic roast battle that didnt go his way.
The drama started when Ricochet tweeted, I dont wanna see anyone switching it up. If you didnt like me before, you missed your chance! No jumping on the bandwagon now. Cheese Curlers! This came after fans pelted him with toilet paper during his entrance at AEW Dynamite in the Hammerstein Ballroom. But the real fireworks happened in the replies.
A fan, MrReddington (@AngelusHector), didnt hold back, tweeting, Youre cool just think your promo skills equate to two cats fisting each other in a bird cage. Ricochet clapped back with, Shut up, thats why you had to work on Christmas. Broke boy.
Instead of backing down, MrReddington fired off the tweet heard around the internet: You work once a week which gives you 6 days to work on your promos and you still cant cut one on X. That reply racked up over 5,000 likes, leaving Ricochet scrambling to recover.
Ricochet responded again with, Broke boy also isnt very innovative. Same old sh*t. Nothing original inside his broke ass head hahaha. But it landed flat, earning less than 200 likes. MrReddington delivered the final blow, tweeting, Instead of toilet paper, they shouldve thrown your ass some cue cards. At least, it would dispel the illiterate rumors. That tweet earned him another 3.2K likes, cementing his win in the social media showdown.
For someone known for his agility and quick thinking in the ring, Ricochets Twitter match left him pinned. Fans are now questioning whether his heel persona in AEW might need some refinement if hes going to go toe-to-toe with trolls online.
