Kevin Owens has been acting completely unhinged since taking out Cody Rhodes at Saturday Nights Main Event. Thats precisely why its no surprise that he seemingly took a jab at Cody Rhodes time in AEW during a WWE live event as part of the companys Holiday Tour.
During a WWE live event in Jacksonville, Florida, Kevin Owens squared off against The American Nightmare in a steel cage match. Before the match, Kevin Owens made a reference to Cody Rhodes time in AEW while taking a shot at him.
The Prizefighter mentioned that Jacksonville endured years of dealing with Cody Rhodes on a weekly basis and promised to help the city heal by defeating him. This was an obvious reference to Cody Rhodes appearances at the Dailys Place in Jacksonville, Florida.
Cody Rhodes would also end up defeating Kevin Owens, in what was his first match since Saturday Nights Main Event. While this was his return to in-ring action, Rhodes remains absent from WWE television to sell the storyline injury caused by Owens. Its clear his feud with Owens will continue into 2025, so fans are excited to see what twists and turns will take place in the coming weeks.
