Mexican wrestler El Hijo del Vikingos 2024 has largely been marred due to constant injuries over the past several months. He began the yearwith a knee injurythat forced him to miss several months of in-ring action. While he eventually made his return to the ring, it seems he has suffered another injury during a recent match at PROGRESS.
El Hijo Del Vikingo made his UK debut at PROGRESS Unboxing on Sunday, marking his long-awaited appearance for the promotion, which had been rescheduled earlier this year. In his debut match, he faced Kid Lykos II. However, things took a turn when Vikingo suffered a bad landing late in the bout and due to this, the match was stopped early.
PROGRESS Wrestling took to Twitter and announced the match between Vikingo and Lykos II was stopped early because Vikingo got injured. They said he would be checked by their medical team and they hope he recovers quickly and can return to the PROGRESS ring soon.
While Vikingos injury is another blow to an already challenging year, the wrestling world is hopeful for his recovery and a quick return to in-ring action. Its been a difficult road for the luchador, and fans can only wait and see how quickly he can bounce back from this latest setback.
