The surprise appearance of former WWE stars AJ Francis, Baron Corbin, and Tyler Breeze backstage at AEWs Worlds End pay-per-view stirred up plenty of speculation.
Speaking on the Fightful Select Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp stated, I havent heard of AEW having any particular interest in any of them, but I do know that AJ Francis did impress some people within TNA, especially from where he was a year ago and what they were expecting out of him.
As for Tyler Breeze, sources indicate that his appearance was purely social, as he lives in the area and was visiting friends. Breeze, who hasnt been a full-time competitor in years, remains focused on his successful ventures outside the wrestling ring, only returning for select matches on his terms.
While their presence backstage at Worlds End added an element of intrigue, it appears AEW isnt currently looking to add any of them to its roster. However, the impression AJ Francis left in TNA could signal bigger opportunities for him down the road.
