Pro Wrestling NOAH shocked the world after announcing that Omos would competeon January 1, 2025, for NOAH The New Year. The match finally took place and the result was a shocker as Omos ended up winning the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Titles.

Omos teamed up with Jack Morris and challenged Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Tag Team Championships in what was undoubtedly a highly anticipated match for good reason.

Omos showed the world that he truly belonged in Japan as he made his in-ring return for the first time since April 2024, where he competed during WWEs Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Omos and Morris showed solid tag team chemistry as they dominated the veterans.

When all was said and done, Omos won the match by pinning Marufuji. Thus, he and Jack Morris became the new GHC Tag Team Champions. This marked the second championship of Omos wrestling career after his RAW Tag Team Title win with AJ Styles a few years ago.
