Karrion Kross took the world by storm when he debuted in NXT during the May 6, 2020 episode as he came out to an epic entrance with Scarlett. It was evident that a lot of thought and effort was put into the entrance and Kross has now revealed how the entrance came together.
While speaking on NotSam Wrestling, Karrion Kross explained how his iconic NXT entrance came together by focusing on a solution-based approach. He and Scarlett took the music they received and rehearsed their movements to match each beat, working on timing in their apartment. When they arrived at the TV taping, they were told to just walk around and see how it felt, but they were already prepared, having planned everything in advance.
The first time they performed it, the entire room went silent and Kross and Scarlett exchanged a glance, wondering if they had gone too far or if the producers liked it. Several producers came over and said they thought they had something special, asking to watch it back. After viewing the footage, Kross was impressed and the praise kept coming for months. People continuously approached them, telling them was exactly what they needed.
Kross and Scarlett focused on how their characters would behave in that moment, using the entrance as an opportunity to communicate the mood and essence of their characters to the audience. They wanted to tell the story of the characters and set the tone, which in this case, was one of doomsday.
Kross and Scarletts entrance was more than just a walk to the ringit was a perfect example of storytelling through character. By carefully planning every detail, staying in sync with the music and movements and staying true to their roles, they created an entrance that definitely grabbed the attention of fans. After all, the entrance is still talked about to this day and its not hard to see why.
