The Bloodline saga has dominated WWE programming since Roman Reigns shocking heel turn in 2020, captivating fans with drama and betrayal. But for former WWE head writer Vince Russo, the story has overstayed its welcome.

During an interview with The Hannibal TV, Russo didnt hold back, comparing The Bloodlines current state to the waning days of WCWs nWo factiona storyline infamous for dragging on past its prime.

People got sick of it [the nWo], they got tired of seeing it, Russo said, reflecting on how WCWs flagship group fell out of favor with fans. The nWos once-groundbreaking appeal dissolved under repetitive plots and an ever-growing roster of members, opening the door for WWE to take over the Monday Night Wars with its Attitude Era.

According to Russo, WWEs Bloodline is following a similar path. This Bloodline storyline, wash, rinse, repeat, every single freaking week. I am so bored and I am so tired of it, he declared. The outspoken wrestling veteran added that if he wasnt being paid to watch WWE programming, he wouldnt bother tuning in at all.

For those unfamiliar, the nWo revolutionized wrestling in 1996 when Hulk Hogan joined forces with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. Their dominance led WCW Nitro to crush WWE RAW in the ratings for 83 straight weeks. However, as fans lost interest in the factions drawn-out storylines, WWE seized the moment, launching its edgier content and eventually overtaking WCW.

Russos criticism of The Bloodline raises the question: has WWEs most compelling modern storyline run its course? Or does it still have enough momentum to keep fans invested? Only time will tell.

Do you agree with Vince Russos take on The Bloodline storyline? Should WWE shake things up, or does it still have gas left in the tank? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
