A teenager fired a booming serve in game six for 4-2 and created two more break chances in the next one. The American denied them and remained within one break deficit. The Brazilian grabbed the eighth game with a forehand winner and served for the title at 5-4.

Joao held at 30 with a forehand winner, wrapping up a perfect week and lifting a trophy.
