It seems that there is no love lost between Danielle Collins and Iga Swiatek after the cameras caught the American barely shaking the Pole's hand and then making a face that pretty much indicated that she wasn't too pleased to see the 23-year-old.

Just before the start of the United States and Poland final at the United Cup, members from both teams shook hands.
And as soon the American shook the five-time Grand Slam champion's hand, the 31-year-old made a face and went straight to the Team USA bench.
To no one's surprise, fans quickly noticed it and it started going viral on social media.
What happened between Collins and Swiatek?
For context, Collins and Swiatek had a tense moment half a year ago when the 2024 Miami Open champion stopped the world No. 2 at the net to tell her something following their Paris Olympics match.
While it was happening, the four-time French Open winner appeared to be absolutely stunned.

That match finished with the world No. 11 retiring due to an abdominal issue.
Later, the American shared that she felt the former world No. 1 was being "insincere" about her injury.
Theres a lot that happens off-camera, and there are a lot of people with a ton of charisma who come out and act one way on camera and another way in the locker room. I just havent had the best experience, and I dont really feel like anybody needs to be insincere. They can be the way they are. I can accept that, but I dont need the fakeness, Collins said in her post-match presser at the time.
When asked to address the incident, Swiatek refused to get into any war of words with the 31-year-old as she pretty much said she wasn't interested in talking about it.
