In 2019, the four-time Grand Slam champion and the American rapper went public with their relationship.
In early 2023, the Japanese announced she was pregnant with her first child.
Then in the summer of that year, Osaka and Cordae became parents after baby girl Shai was born.
Over the years, there were rumors about the two breaking up or taking time away from each other but nothing was ever officially confirmed by the tennis star or the rapper.
Osaka and Cordae call time on their relationship
In her message, the 27-year-old had only words of praise for her now ex-boyfriend and also noted that she was "happy our paths crossed."
"Hi everyone, just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship. No bad blood at all, he's a great person and an awesome dad," the Japanese tennis star wrote in a message posted on her Instagram Story.

"Honestly really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing and I was able to grow a lot from our experiences together."
Meanwhile, Osaka fell just short of winning her first WTA title as a mom.
On Sunday, the former world No. 1 was up by a set against Clara Tauson in the Auckland final before she was forced to abruptly retire due to an abdominal injury.
While it was a heartbreaking situation, the 27-year-old expects to be fit for the Australian Open.
"I'm having an MRI today to assess. I don't feel that it's too serious and I still feel very optimistic about AO," she said in a statement.
