Felix Auger-Aliassime believes it's time to raise the bar so as not to let Carlitos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinnerto take it all.

The Spaniard and the Italian shared the four Grand Slam tournaments last season. Jannik won the Australian Open and the US Open, Carlos French Open and Wimbledon Championships. And in 2025 they also seem to be the two main favorites to win the most important events of the ATP Tour. Both will start their year in Melbourne without playing a single official tournament.
"There is an urgency in a way, if we want to stay in touch with them. Carlos Alcaraz is at four Slams right now and Jannik Sinner is at two. There is an urgency like: you can't let them win anymore. If they do it, congratulations to them, but then they will start to distance themselves," explained the Canadian.
Auger-Aliassime also tried to highlight some of the differences between Alcaraz and Sinner.

"We saw Alcaraz from the moment he stepped into his first Slam, which would have been really special. His rise has been one of a kind, the youngest world No. 1 ever. Sinner is a little bit different because until two years ago he was outside the top 10, now there is his rise.
We have always known his qualities, but the year he just finished has been one of a kind and he also started beating some guys he was struggling with up until that point. The year he had was like Roger Federer's in 2005 or 2006," explained the Canadian.
We recall Sinner will have to wait until the end of February or the beginning of March to know his fate in relation to the Clostebol doping scandal. After WADA appeal - which asks for 1-2 years of disqualification - CAS will give the final sentence only in 2-3 months: they will be long weeks for the Italian, hist team and his fans.
