While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Sheamus was asked whose idea it was to make his pastiness part of his character and why he chose to go with it. Sheamus explained that the idea to embrace his pasty complexion as part of his character came from his friend Ray, who also works with him on his channel.
Sheamus stated that he used to do the opposite by using fake tan and shaving his head, trying to look like everyone else. Ray told him to stop and said, You already look like the most Irish guy ever, so why try to blend in? That advice helped Sheamus see that his unique look was something he should embrace.
