The Scottish Warrior took to Twitter on January 7 to share a rather unusual explanation for his defeat: I had a contact high, McIntyre tweeted, along with a photo of himself in the ring.
This revelation comes after Travis Scott, who accompanied Jey Uso to the ring through the crowd, was shown on camera taking a hit of what appeared to be weed during the live broadcast. McIntyres tongue-in-cheek tweet seems to reference Californias laid-back weed culture as a factor in his performance.
The match itself was packed with action. Jey Uso kicked things off with a dive on McIntyre before he even made it to the ring, setting the tone for a back-and-forth battle. Despite McIntyres best efforts, including a near-miss Claymore Kick, Uso countered with a Superkick and eventually secured the win with a package pin.
